Youth Sexual Health Survey Hi there,Métis Nation–Saskatchewan has developed a Health and Sexual Health Workbook to support Métis youth and other community members. Before receiving your workbook, we’re asking you to complete this short, anonymous survey to help us understand what kinds of supports and information are most needed.Purpose of the SurveyThe purpose of this survey is to inform the development and improvement of sexual health and wellness resources, programming, and education for Métis youth. The information collected may be used to: Improve future sexual health and wellness resources. Guide how we talk about STBBIs, HIV, and well-being. Support program planning, technical or community reports, grant reporting, and knowledge-sharing activities (such as presentations or posters). All findings will be reported in aggregate form only. Individual responses will never be shared.What participating InvolvesThis survey takes approximately 17 minutes to complete. Your participation is entirely voluntary; most questions include a "Prefer not to say" option, and you can skip any that do not.Because the survey is anonymous, once you have submitted your responses, it will not be possible to withdraw your data.Participation IncentiveAll eligible participants may enter a draw for one of two iPads. All participation is entirely optional. The draw will take place during the first week of June.Confidentiality and AnonymityYour survey responses are collected anonymously and will be kept confidential. No identifying information will be linked to your survey answers.To enter the participant raffle, we collect Métis citizenship information and contact information. However, this information will be separated from the survey information and securely destroyed beyond recovery once the winner has been contacted. Survey data used for analysis will be anonymized.Please note that if you choose to contact us by email with questions about the survey, your participation may no longer be anonymous, but your confidentiality will be maintained. Data will remain confidential and will be used by the minimum number of staff necessary to facilitate data collection and contact draw winners.About the QuestionsSome of the questions in this survey relate to STBBIs (sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections, formerly referred to as STIs). STBBIs are infections that are transmitted through the exchange of bodily fluids, through intimate skin-to-skin contact, or through contact with blood (such as via shared drug use equipment). The term "STBBI" is used for accuracy and inclusivity.Some questions may feel personal, you are free to indicate "Prefer not to say" for any questions you do not wish to answer.Data Storage and RetentionSurvey data will be stored securely on password-protected systems, accessible only to the project team.
