TFWP - Landscape / Garden Centre support

Over the last couple of months, the CNLA Acute Labour task force has been working on unique solutions to help address our industry's labour shortages. 

This past week they had a meeting with Brian Hickey -  Director-General of TFWP and Steven West Director of Sector Policy. Brain Hickey. This has resulted in an opportunity for CNLA to provide invaluable feedback on specific industry questions asked by this department. Our profession now has an opportunity to state their position on our ongoing labour shortages with the potential to modify some programs if we can prove it is needed.  

Please help us to provide accurate information.  The survey deadline is November 5, 2021
1.Where is your company located?
2.How many employees do you require annually?
3.Are you able to fill your positions with Canadians?
4.Would you be able to grow/expand If you had more workers?
5.Have you used the TFWP in the past?
6.If Yes, what have been your hurdles if any?
7.If no but have thought about it, what has stopped you?
8.What type of innovative measures are you taking to recruit domestic workers? (Where are you posting, are you offering hiring bonus etc)
9.What is the cost ($) to your business as a result of current labour shortages? (For example, every job vacancy costs me $x.)
10.What is the ratio of created supervisor/manager jobs for domestic workers to TFWs when vacancies are filled by TFWs?  (for example, each team of 5-6 TFWs could create 1 domestic supervisor job.)
11.What, if any, trends are you seeing with respect to undocumented workers applying for your job postings?
12.How much are your employers spending (or what is the premium being paid), on average, to recruit and hire a TFW?
