Understanding the role of mental health in occupational therapy practice

Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) is seeking to better understand the role of mental health in contemporary occupational therapy (OT) practice. Mental health is a core component of occupational therapy practice and an important component of the work that many OTs do, even where it is not their primary focus.

Through this survey, OTA is seeking to understand how many OTs are involved in supporting people with primary or secondary diagnoses of mental illness, which settings those OTs are working in, what challenges and barriers they may face, and how OTA can support the profession through advocacy, professional support, training and resources.

Your feedback will contribute to the Thinking Ahead: Mental Health project and the development of targeted programs and activities aimed at furthering opportunities for the profession and advancing the understanding of mental health occupational therapy.

The survey will take approximately 10 minutes. We thank you for your support.
