Sponsorship Details:

  • Apply for up to $500.00 of financial support for national, provincial, or regional level sports competitions / entrance fees for verified Region 1 Métis citizens with their own MNO issued Citizenship number (subject to verification of citizenship).

  • This grant is for Region 1 adult athletes competing at the National, Provincial, or Regional level.

  • Eligible for competition-related costs from July 1st, 2025 to March 6, 2026 while funding lasts.

  • Limited funding available. Not all those that apply are guaranteed to receive grant funds.

  • Deadline is Friday March 6th, 2026 at 4:00PM CST, no late applications will be accepted. Due to limited funding, the application portal will close early if we reach the maximum limit of funding available before the stated deadline.

  • All requested documentation in this application must be uploaded and submitted with your application in order to be considered. If your application is incomplete (ie. missing any of the required documentation) or you don't meet the eligibility criteria your application will be deemed ineligible.   • National, provincial, and regional events that have been funded by the athlete's school, employer, or otherwise fundraised for are not eligible for this grant. This grant is solely for out-of-pocket fees associated with the event. If also applying for the "youth" National/Provincial/Regional sports grant please note only one application will be reviewed for eligibility. (Athletes cannot apply for both grants under this sports grant program.)

  • Must be related to an organized sport. Athletes can be competing individually or as a team.
