ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
-Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from an Ontario College Certificate Program or an
Accredited Program with PSWEPA.
-Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certified.
-Gentle Persuasion Approach Training
-Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario CPR (C) certification
-2 years previous PSW experience required, experience in a hospital setting is preferred
-Knowledge and skill to maintain supplies and equipment.
-Ability to complete the required environmental cleaning.
-Excellent communication/time management/priority setting skills.
-Demonstrated knowledge of asepsis principles.
-Excellent computer skills (Intranet, Microsoft Office, Care Manager)
-Satisfactory attendance.
