The City of Sault Ste. Marie is conducting a comprehensive review and evaluation of indoor ice utilization at the City’s Arenas.

The research will: assess trends in ice surface demand; consider trends in local ice sport and recreation program participation, as well as community demographics; gather input from major local arena user groups and residents regarding current and future demand; assess the general condition and utility of the City’s existing arenas; consider additional indoor ice surfaces available in the City and the immediate vicinity; and project future ice surface demand.

The City has retained the consulting firm of LeisurePlan International Inc. to conduct the research.

One aspect of the research involves consultation with residents in the city to review their current participation in indoor ice related sport and recreation programs and activities and solicit opinions concerning municipal arena facilities in the city.

Your input will greatly assist in the planning of municipal indoor ice facilities in the city.
If you have any questions about the research please contact us at the telephone numbers listed below.
