2019 NPN Conference Session Proposals

We invite you to make a preliminary session proposal for the upcoming Annual Conference in New Orleans (December 10-13, 2019)

IDEA FORUM and PEER TO PEER sessions address trends you have observed and/or conversations in which you would like to engage. You are encouraged to think outside the box in designing the content and format--surprise us with your suggestions and send us something new! Priority will be given to topics that are relevant to NPN's mission. Idea Forum sessions are 1.5 hours and can range from practical interactive sessions to case studies, to conversations exploring cultural and political trends. Peer to Peer sessions are professional development sessions for artists, by artists. We understand the valuable resources that are in the room, and have found it most rewarding when artists provide them to each other.

ART BURSTS are 5-minute low-to-no-tech, performances or visual artist presentations, that "pop up" throughout conference sessions when we have a critical mass of attendance. For visual artists, these are usually presented in a five-minute slide show format.

ART TALKS are 10-minute presentations from artists at all career levels and disciplines, preferably artists who's work has some intersection into activism. Artist are invited to introduce themselves and their work through entertaining stories and visual aid, similar to a Ted Talk.

Please fill out this short survey and submit your preliminary proposal no later than JULY 8. If your session is selected, we will get back to you by early August for more detailed information.
