Community Feedback for Development of 105 South Main Street

The Town of Middleton, through the Master Development Planning Committee (MDPC), is planning for the future municipal complex at 105 South Main Street (Route 114).  The attached survey is intended to help the Committee gauge the community’s wishes for the future of the site.  Your views are very important to the Committee and will assist us in making decisions and recommendations to Town Meeting.

The anonymous survey should take between 5-7 minutes to complete. Although Survey Monkey may ask for your email and/or to use cookies, the data is stored only to ensure no duplicate submissions are made. Please feel free to read through the help page for more information. https://help.surveymonkey.com/articles/en_US/kb/How-do-I-make-surveys-anonymous.

The survey will also be made available at the Flint Public Library as well the Council on Aging. We value everyone's input on this community project. Thank you for your time!

* 4. What existing buildings in the area represent Middleton’s character/style that we should replicate when planning for this site?

Question Title

* 5. Additional buildings in the area that you feel represent Middleton's character or style

Question Title

* 6. Clearly the planning for this site will have a financial impact on all townspeople. Construction prices are projected to increase by about 5% per year. Therefore, deferring any portion of the project will increase the cost of that portion of the project by an estimated 5% per year. Also, interest rates for municipalities are at historic lows. Building more of the overall project in today’s dollars with today’s interest rates will save significant project and tax dollars over the life of the project.  However building more of the project will have larger upfront costs.

The MDPC is very aware of the project’s financial impact and the impact to each resident’s annual tax bill.  Please rank the following phasing scenarios for the site’s development.

(Scenario # 1 being your preferred option priority and Scenario #6 being your least preferred option.)
