Douglas Shire Council is in the midst of replacing critical water reticulation infrastructure in Port Douglas. It will require four, 8-hour shutdowns of one section of the mains, over four consecutive days [total of 24 hours]. Before starting this work, a trial shutdown will be done on Thursday 29 June, between 2pm and 3pm. The purpose is to confirm which properties experience low water pressure and those properties where supply is cut completely.
