Junior & Adult Umpire Program

Become an Umpire

HNLL has expanded our program to the Spring 2022 season! The Junior and Adult Umpire program program provides both our youth (14 yrs old minimum, age as of 08/31/2022) and adults with the ability to learn the craft of umpiring.

Junior and Adult Umpires will receive free training from our District 25 Chief Umpire, Erik Brown. The training will consist of classroom and field instruction.  You will learn the rules, positioning, command of the game, and other attributes of umpiring that makes one successful on the diamond, Training is free and will be provided by HNLL.  If interested, please complete the survey below.

If you participated in this program in prior seasons, you will need to resubmit the application and attend the training for this season.  All umpires will need to pass a background check prior to the beginning of the season. Once approved your umpire will be valid for the entire year to include Spring and Fall of the current season.
