5 Minute Survey to Help Us Plan for the Future of the Tahoe City Golf Course

Thank you for your time in helping us plan for the future uses at the Tahoe City Golf Course. Your input is very appreciated!

Following is a short survey about how you use this wonderful community asset and suggestions to be considered in planning for the future. The collected answers from this survey, as well as feedback collected via other outreach, will be used to help create a plan for the future of the Tahoe City Golf Course that reflects our community's desires. This is not the last time to give input! We will also be hosting community workshops this spring to gather more input on the future uses for the Tahoe City Golf Course. In 2012, TCPUD, Placer County, North Lake Tahoe Resort Association, and Truckee Tahoe Airport District, pooled funds to purchase the Tahoe City Golf Course. This was a great partnership that came together to save a much valued community asset. The TCPUD has signed a lease with Duncan Golf to operate the golf course through March, 2017. Over the next five years, the partners will be working on a management plan for the golf course. Following is a list of proposed uses based on requirements from each of the funding partners:
• Tahoe Truckee Airport District - Emergency Service Helipad – 24/7 year-round availability, emergency landing area(s);
• Placer County and NLTRA – Improved parking and traffic circulation, visitor amenities, air quality and water quality improvements in the core of Tahoe City;
• TCPUD – recreation, open space, potential for water treatment facility, public water rights.


Input from the survey and the community workshops (later this spring)as well as feedback collected last year, will be used to help staff determine areas that need additional study and consideration. We expect more public forums to share this information and continue to gather feedback as all of the various parts of the golf course management effort evolve.
