The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities (TCDD) wants to learn what it’s like for individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) to access services and supports. To learn more about this, we are conducting a survey to identify needs that are — and are not — being fulfilled with the current system of services and supports.

The Survey of Family Members of Children and Adults with DD covers topics that impact the daily lives of individuals with DD in Texas. Topics covered include education, work, seeing friends, going to the doctor, and getting around town. This survey is designed to capture the perspective and experience of families of an individual with DD. This could include a parent, sibling, or another member of the family. The information provided in this survey will help us better understand what is working well in Texas and what areas need improvement.

This survey is anonymous and individual responses will not be shared publicly.

The deadline to complete the survey is Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020. If you need help completing the survey or need the survey in an alternate format, please contact Evan Marczynski at evan.marczynski@tcdd.texas.gov or 512-437-5442.

This survey is part of the TCDD Listens campaign, which was designed to ensure that individuals with DD, family members, and others from around Texas have an opportunity to provide their input on TCDD’s next state plan.
