The application process consists of the following elements:

Applicants must secure the written endorsement of their agency’s chief executive or designee indicating the applicant’s potential and certifying that the above requirements are met. This form can be found on the Schedule page of the FDLE Analyst Training website. Applications without a nomination from the supporting agency will not be considered.
Applicants must submit an online application, found on the FDLE Analyst Trainings website on the Schedule page. This form must be completed in its entirety.
As part of the application form, applicants must upload the following documents:
- A current professional resume
- An application essay of at least 750 words and no more than 1,000 words on the following topic: How do you handle and manage stress in your personal and professional life and how do you address competing priorities?
- An essay of at least 750 words and no more than 1,000 words on the following: Identify at least three current issues of concern for your agency and discuss how law enforcement analysis could be used to address these issues.

I also understand that if I am selected to attend the Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Academy, I will be involved in an intensive educational program that will extend over a six (6) month period. This program requires a substantial commitment of time and energy, and a dedication to excellence.

I agree that if I do not attend the scheduled sessions or complete all of the required assignments including the final project, I will be unable to graduate from the Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Academy.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is committed to the safety of its instructors, students, and staff. Due to the ongoing CoVid-19 pandemic, precautions will be taken regarding social distancing. FLDE reserves the right to adjust and change the academy program to meet recommended and required health and safety guidelines, up to and including program cancellation if deemed necessary.

I agree to abide by all rules and regulations pertaining to the health and safety of my fellow students, instructors, and staff as prescribed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Director of the Analyst Academy. I agree that I may be dismissed from the program for failing to follow health and safety guidelines as directed.
