Nomination forms must be submitted by Monday, January 31st, 2022.Nominations received after that date may not be eligible for consideration. REALTOR® Members may submit only one nomination per award.
Award winners will be announced at the Annual Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS® Awards Gala on Friday, March 4th, 2022 to be held at the Marriott Pyramid North.
Nomination Category: 2021 Rookie of the Year
Thank you for taking the time to nominate one of your REALTOR® colleagues for the Rookie of the Year Award. To assist you with your nomination, we have created this quick checklist to aid you in the nomination process:
o Review the qualifications listed to ensure your nominee qualifies.
o Complete the nomination form on the following page. If the form does not allow for enough space for your nomination, feel free to attach additional pages. Please note that all communications regarding the nomination process will be via email, so it is critical that we have an accurate email address for you and the nominee.
o Submit your nomination by mail, email, or hand-deliver.
o Please let your nominee know that you have nominated them by providing them with a link to the Candidate Questionnaire:https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TDHKLSV . Copy & save the link before you submit this survey or access the link at gaar.com in the Gala Nomination Blog.
The nominating committee will follow up with the qualified nominee, but please help us by alerting the nominee that interviews will be held in early February so that they can plan accordingly. Specific interviews will be made once the Candidate Questionnaire is received by the committee.
Qualifications:
o As of December 31, 2021, nominees must have been licensed with the New Mexico Real Estate Commission and a member of GAAR for no more than 18 months and no less than 6 months. Therefore, nominees must have been licensed between July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021.
o Nominees must be currently licensed, actively practicing and in good standing with GAAR, NMAR and NAR.
o Nominees may not have been a builder’s salesperson prior to licensing.
o ROTY is an individual award. A member of a team may apply if no other member on that team has been licensed for longer than the 18-month period described above. Nominees will be judged on an individual basis.
Criteria to Consider:
1. Production by the individual from January 1, 2021 – December 31, 2021 must be documented and signed off by the nominee’s Qualifying Broker.
2. Service to the real estate community through involvement with GAAR, SWMLS, NMAR or NAR.
3. Service to the Greater Albuquerque community.
4. Professionalism and business acumen; encompassing ethics, public behavior, listing presentation, marketing materials and interaction with other REALTORS®.
5. Educational achievements; including formal education, continuing education and designations.
