PBS welcomes your Technology Conference Breakout Session submission!  As our first fully virtual Technology Conference, we are excited to offer all PBS station staff the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and participate.  We are looking for sessions that demonstrate new ideas and innovative thinking, showcase local, regional and national success stories and lessons learned. Breakout Session Details
 

PBS Technology Conference Breakout sessions will take place virtually the weeks of October 18th and October 25th with two slots from 1:00-2:00pm (ET) and 3:00-4:00/4:30pm (ET). All presentations can be either 60 or 90 minutes depending on the submission and as the schedule allows. 
 
Breakout Session formats can fall into one of the three options: 
  1. Interactive Presentation: sessions with presentation content, interactive discussions and/or engagement features such as polling, prompts, breakout rooms, etc. 
  2. Formal Presentation: webinar-style session 
  3. Panel Session: virtual discussion session about a specific topic amongst a selected number of individuals (can be interview or panel style; like “Steal This Idea”) 
Breakout Sessions can fall into one or multiple of the below tracks:  
  • Content: Local productions, leveraging national programs at the local level, digital series, etc. 
  • Distribution: Livestreaming, new technologies, new platforms, etc. 
  • Engagement: Marketing, social media, local events and outreach, etc. 
  • Education: At-home learning, educator programs, etc. 
  • Fundraising: Passport, membership, major giving, etc. 
  • Management: Organizational culture, professional development, government relations, etc. 
Breakout session proposal submissions close on August 20, 2021 .

Please save your responses in a separate document as you will not receive a copy of your submission.  If accepted you will receive a PDF of your proposal for reference. Sessions will be reviewed and selected for a limited number of slots and submitters will be notified by late September.
