About this Award
This award was established to provide an annual opportunity to recognize an exceptional, experienced oncology social worker and active contributing member of AOSW. The award recipient must be a current member of AOSW. The award recipient must hold a master’s degree in social work. The award is presented to an oncology social worker who, in the day-to-day delivery of compassionate service, is a model for the profession itself. This award is supported by Cancer Support Community.

Award amount to recipient: $1000 check; must be used for conference registration and other conference related expenses.
Award Criteria:
  • Must be a member of AOSW.
  • Must have a BSW or MSW.
  • Have not received the award before.
Nomination Requirements:
  • Completed Nomination form
  • Nominee’s resume or curriculum vitae
  • Two letters of support addressing criteria for the appropriate award from other social work professionals, co-workers, hospital administrators, or community agency representatives
