Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation (ECCI) is developing training for women on low carbon skills development. They would like to find out from WiRES members, and women working in the renewable energy sector what training would be most useful to women and their organisations over the next three months.

The low carbon agenda is about helping create a competitive advantage for you and your enterprise by managing and reducing your carbon emissions, creating economic, social and environmental benefits.

ECCI seeks to build low carbon skills capability in commercial and social enterprises, and the public sector through worldwide professional skills training. ECCI provides the skills and learning necessary to help individuals and enterprises take advantage of the ongoing transition to a low carbon economy.

ECCI has teamed up with Skills Development Scotland to deliver a training event for women in enterprise roles in Scotland. ECCI courses are specifically designed to give business executives, policy makers, entrepreneurs and future leaders a better understanding of the rapidly changing low carbon economy, business environment, public policy framework and the management of environmental risks.
