If you are interested in becoming a teen presenter for STEM Saturdays at the Sammamish Library, please submit this application form by November 7th, 2026.
What do I need to know to be a presenter?
- Presenters must be 14 years of age or older.
- Each presenter or group can host a maximum of 2 workshops. Proposals can contain content for up to 1 or 2 workshops.
- Workshops must include a detailed, hands-on activity.
- The Sammamish Library will cover workshop costs up to $200 in total, courtesy of the Friends of the Sammamish Library.

What kinds of workshops are we looking for?
- Focus on teaching scientific concepts and include hands-on reinforcement.
- Build skills and knowledge from the ground up.
- Introduce complicated scientific concepts in a simplified manner without becoming inaccurate.
For these reasons, we will not consider workshops that include the use of AI.
Workshops cannot:

- Produce anything edible or consumable (i.e. making ice cream or rock candy)
- Use or teach the use of AI.
Workshops CAN:
- Use edible ingredients to make something not edible (i.e. using candy to make models).
- Include discussion of AI, how it works, and its current applications in the relevant scientific field.
What support will I get from the library?
- The library will cover all costs of the workshop.
- The library will publicize the workshop. You are welcome to do some promotion on your own as well.
