EOI - 2017 Tas Performs Artist Residency |
Expression of Interest for Tasmania Performs Artist Residency (27-29 October 2017)
The annual Tasmania Performs artist residency is an opportunity for Tasmanian performing art practitioners, be they writers, choreographers, dancers, directors, actors, theatre makers......, to come together to explore new project ideas.
The 3-day, 2-night Tarraleah event is an opportunity to be completely immersed in a creative space and culture.
A range of highly skilled mentors from different arts practices across Australia are provided to inform project development. In previous years these have included Marion Potts, Sue Giles, Peter Matheson, Raimondo Cortese, Nicki Heyward, Julie-Anne Long, Sarah Neal, Elizabeth Walsh, Jo Duffy, Van Badham and Stephen Armstrong among others.
The annual Tasmania Performs artist residency is a supportive, creative environment to test ideas, consider new collaborations and explore cross artform possibilities.
Expression of interests will be reviewed by a curatorial panel who will take into consideration the calibre of the artist, the idea and a range of other balancing issues including artforms, geography, and experience to ensure the right mix for a vibrant weekend.
Deadline for completing this survey is Friday 28 July 2016.
Successful applicants will be notified by Monday 21 August 2016.
