Welcome to the Survey for Tacoma’s Creative Community!
At Whipsmart, we are unapologetic advocates for creative people and businesses. We give creative professionals the tools they need to succeed, by meeting them where they’re at—offering intentionally curated mentorships, job opportunities, and business resources scaled to every stage of their career.
Whipsmart chose Tacoma as the first city in Washington State to participate in its creative economy study aimed at uncovering what makes Tacoma an amazing creative community. Whipsmart has been working with our partners at City of Tacoma’s Office of Arts and Cultural Vitality, Spaceworks and the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce to start the conversation, but we need to hear from you. We will use what we learn to develop tools and impact policy that will not only help local creatives and creative businesses survive, but thrive!
Please take 15 - 20 minutes to complete this survey. (Okay, it may take 25 minutes but it’s totally worth taking it and you can enter to win a prize at the end.) All responses will be kept completely confidential. As a small token of our appreciation for your participation, once you complete the survey, you can enter a drawing to be one of three lucky people to win a $50 VISA gift card and lunch with Tacoma Arts Administrator Amy McBride.
Your participation in this research is voluntary. You have the right to withdraw at any point during the survey, for any reason, and without any consequences. Aligned with our race equity commitment, we will collect demographic information that will be shared in the aggregate. We WILL NOT share your individual data.
