This questionnaire is the first step in the Judge Reginald C. Lindsay Fellowship Application process.

Eligibility requirements:

College students (rising juniors and seniors preferred - no freshmen), currently enrolled, with a strong interest in a career in the law. Must have ties to Massachusetts. Nelson Fellow program graduates are given first preference, as are first-generation college students, but other students are also considered. Additional information on the program is available at http://www.mad.uscourts.gov/outreach/lindsay.htm.

The Lindsay Fellowship is a nine week commitment. Every Fellow is expected to be present each day, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for the duration of the fellowship. The nine weeks will begin no earlier than June 3, 2019 and end no later than August 16, 2019. The precise schedule will be set at a later date after consideration of all the students' schedules.
This program is intended for students who are available to participate in the full schedule. If you have any prior summer commitments and would be unavailable at any point from June 3, 2019 – August 16, 2019, you will be asked to list each date in the next section.
IMPORTANT: Submit the online portion of your application by clicking "Done" at the end of this questionnaire. Please note that your application is not complete until this office receives the supporting documents listed below:

1)      Your college transcript;

2)      One letter of recommendation from either a professor or other counselor at your college;

3)      Your resume; and

4)      Proof of citizenship (a copy of your US Passport, Social Security card, birth certificate or green card)

All applications and supporting documents must be received by the Project Coordinator no later than close of business on Friday, February 8, 2019.

All supporting documentation should be emailed to: Lindsay_Fellows@mad.uscourts.gov

Due to the expected high volume of applicants for this program, the U.S. District Court
will make contact only with those who will be invited for an interview.
