The 2026 Healthiest State Annual Awards celebrate individuals who are building communities where healthy choices are accessible, sustainable, and part of everyday life. These awards recognize leaders who are turning vision into action, creating environments that support physical, social, and mental well-being across Iowa.
This year, we will honor up to four Iowans whose innovation, collaboration, and measurable impact are helping advance our vision that every Iowan has the opportunity to live their healthiest life. These champions lead by example, inspire others, and drive meaningful change in their communities, workplaces, and schools.
Nominate a Healthiest State Well-Being Champion
We invite you to nominate an individual who exemplifies leadership in promoting health and well-being. The nominee should be an Iowan who has demonstrated a commitment to improving well-being in their community, workplace, or school, making healthy choices easier and more accessible for others.
For reference, if helpful, the nominator initiates the nomination by drafting and supporting the required materials, while the nominee is the individual being put forward for consideration. Example below:
