Tony Hudgell Rehabilitation Programme - Phase 2: Suggestions for Regional Standards on Tone Management

There are currently no agreed standards for how hypertonia should be managed in Children and Young People (CAYP). Phase 2 of the Tony Hudgell Programme aims to reach an agreement across the South Thames region on standards of care for the management of spasticity and or dystonia.

We are currently looking for suggestions for potential standards, which will cover:
  • Primary General (General Practise)
  • Secondary Care (Acute Paediatric Services and Community Services
  • Tertiary Care (Paediatric Neurology and Paediatric Neurodisability)
We would like to develop standards around what care should be delivered at each of these level, and on the movement of CAYP and communication between these levels.

We would like to hear your thoughts and suggests on potential standards, which will be used to develop a consensus through a Delphi process later in 2025.

We would be very grateful for your time and input. Please do not feel you have to leave a comment or suggestion for every question - any answers you provide will be helpful to us.
