Eligibility

Thank you for your interest in Switchboard's Economic Empowerment Community of Practice (CoP). The Economic Empowerment CoP will focus on fundamentals, innovations, challenges and solutions within ORR-funded economic empowerment programs (employment services and broader economic empowerment programming). Staff from ORR-funded state agencies, resettlement agencies and affiliates, ethnic community-based organizations, and others are invited to participate.

Additionally, we are seeking three people working at ORR-funded organizations to join the CoP leadership team. This is a great opportunity to build your leadership skills, get to know colleagues across organizations, and foster innovation within economic empowerment programs. Leaders will be expected to help engage CoP participants, set the agendas for initial CoP meetings, and help facilitate monthly CoP meetings.

Update: While Switchboard had planned to host an in-person CoP peer-leader's retreat in May, we will now be providing initial training to peer-leaders in an online format. Training will take place May 13-15, exact times TBD. We will consider a possible in-person leader's retreat in late summer or early fall if circumstances allow.
