Seniors Housing Needs Assessment

Over the last few years, the Whistler Housing Authority (WHA) and the Mature Action Community (MAC) have been working together on opportunities for seniors housing options in Whistler. Local seniors have been surveyed to gauge their interest in a seniors restricted housing development and survey results have indicated a level of interest for affordable seniors housing in the new Rainbow neighborhood.

Currently being considered at Rainbow is an eight unit seniors restricted housing development in a townhouse complex with the living space for each unit provided on one level. The townhomes would be designed to provide aging-in-place housing for seniors, with detached garages parking and secured external storage units.

The WHA and MAC would like to know if you would be interested in renting or purchasing one of these proposed seniors restricted housing units in Rainbow through your responses to the attached survey.

If you indicate on the survey that you are interested in purchasing or renting one of the proposed seniors restricted townhomes at Rainbow, you will be contacted over the next month by a MAC representative.

We ask that you complete the survey by January 20th, 2015.
