Award of Excellence Nominations 2024

This award is not intended to be a capstone to an individual's career, but recognition of the memberships appreciation for the individual's current accomplishments and contributions to the Association and the profession of School Business Management.  
 
These individuals have demonstrated a continuous interest in learning in staying abreast of developments in the field of school business management.  They have provided leadership and commitment to the Association and they are a role model for other school business officials.  These are individuals who go above and beyond the day-to-day requirements of their position and their profession.
 
Key Characteristics for award recognition
 
  • outstanding practices and innovation beyond the requirements of the profession for the benefit of members and/or the profession
  • advancement of the profession of school business management
  • contributions to the Association of School Business Officials
  • contributions to the Association of School Business Officials International
  • continuous interest in learning
  • leadership and commitment
  • position as a role model for other school business officials
  • enhancement of the visibility of the Association and the profession in the education community and/or general public
 
Eligibility Criteria
 
  • the nominee must be an active member in good standing 
  • nominations must be supported by 2 or more ASBOA members
  • current members of the ASBOA Executive are not eligible during their term of office.

Nomination Process
 
  • All nominations must be made using the official nomination form.  Nominations must be submitted by April 1st of each year unless otherwise noted.
  • All nominations are received by the ASBOA Leadership and Nomination committee for assessment and selection.   
  • A maximum of three (3) Excellence awards may be presented annually.  
 
Award Presentation
 
Award Recipients will be announced and presented at the Annual Conference.  Recipients will NOT be notified or announced prior to this event.
 
Notification will be sent to the Board Chair and the Superintendent of the recipients school jurisdiction immediately following the presentation.
