Local Health Department Emergency Management Survey |
Purpose
This survey is being sent to all Local Health Departments. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey with applicable partners and local agencies. For those of you with multi-county jurisdictions, please complete separate surveys for each county in your district.
This information will be collected and reviewed by the Division of Emergency Preparedness and Response, and the results will be shared and discussed during the 2018 Local Health Department Emergency Preparedness Coordinator Annual Meeting. The contact information provided will be kept as a confidential list, to be used for emergency preparedness and response purposes only.
The focus of the survey is on four main topics. The first, being the role of local public health in the Local Emergency Operations Center (LEOC) during emergencies, and how they are integrated within local emergency management plans. In addition, the survey seeks to provide insight as to how local public health is involved in mass care, mass fatality operations, and volunteer management. For these functions, keep in mind that the LHD's role may be to assist other local agencies and/or community organizations.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jennifer Lixey Terrill, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Emergency Management Coordinator for Health, at lixeyterrillj@michigan.gov or 517-930-0671.
