Learning in Action: IPAC in the Dental Office: Keeping People Safe

A Self-Study Activity

Thank you for your interest in learning more about Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC).

IPAC in the dental office is a core element of safety in a dental office. While lapses are rare, their impact can have a profound impact on patients, staff and public trust.

There are a number of actions you can take proactively in your practice to keep people safe, beginning with becoming familiar with the RCDSO Standard of Practice and actively engaging your team in conversations about how to improve your culture of safety.

This Learning in Action Toolkit guides you through a series of activities designed to reinforce your application of the principles of IPAC, help you evaluate your current practices and prepare your team to prevent IPAC lapses.

There are five activities listed below.
For each that you complete, you will earn one (1) continuing education point in Category 2, for a total of up to five (5) points.

To obtain your certificate, you must answer the questions below and click SUBMIT.

We will review your submission and email your certificate within ten business days (two weeks). During times of high volume, there may be delays.

Once you have your certificate, you must enter your CE points into your e-Portfolio under Category 2, Self-Study Activity / e-Learning Program. You may choose to upload your certificate to the e-Portfolio or save it in your files.

Please email us at ce@rcdso.org with any questions. You will receive a response within two business days.
