Consumers of Mental Health WA is currently working on a position paper that outlines the unique challenges and needs of mental health consumers living in regional, rural and remote areas in Western Australia.

We recognise that CoMHWA staff live in the metro area, and therefore want to amplify the voices of people with lived experience of mental health distress who live in regional WA. We want to hear your experiences of living regionally and accessing (or trying to access) mental health supports; whatever that looks like to you.

We intend to use some of your stories in our paper, de-identified (not including names of people or services), to emphasise the issues you face. The paper will be added to by consumer organisations in other states, and we want WA's specific issues to be prominent and clear.

Your insights are vital to our position. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Systemic Advocacy team at sysadvocacy@comhwa.org.au. Thank you for your time and input.
