Kingfish in NSW

NSW Fisheries have not shown a willingness to perform the necessary research to validate any changes to bag and size limits for Kingfish in NSW. There is growing opposition from the recreational sector to the changes that are being proposed without updated research and information on how the success of the changes will be monitored. Without proper baseline data we cannot have proper monitoring and biomass targets for such an iconic species will not be met.
This survey will help recreational anglers update a research plan to take directly to the Minister, a plan that has been devised with science at its core and with local and international experts in the marine science field providing independant expert advice.
