Questionnaire Instructions


This questionnaire forms part of a correlational study exploring the relationship between social media use and stress levels.

In this questionnaire, social media refers to online platforms and apps that allow users to share and interact with content and other users:

Please answer each question honestly and to the best of your ability. There are no right or wrong answers. All responses will remain anonymous and confidential and will be used for research purposes only.




Heart Rate Measurement

As part of this study, you will also need to take a heart rate (BPM) reading.

Please measure your heart rate before completing the questionnaire and record your result when prompted.

  • Any data collected will be stored securely and handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. Appropriate measures will be taken to safeguard the data against unauthorised access or data breaches.

To assess physiological indicators of stress, please provide your heart rate in beats per minute (BPM). To measure your BPM, place two fingers on your wrist to feel your pulse. Using a timer, count the beats for 30 seconds and then multiply the number by 2.
