A constitution is defined as the basic principles and laws of a nation, state, or social group that determine the powers and duties of the government and guarantee certain rights to the people in it (Merriam-Webster dictionary). The KFN Constitution is KFN’s highest law and sets out the principles of governance for our Nation. As such, the principles, values, rights and duties set out in the KFN Constitution should be fundamental and not subject to frequent change. Please keep this in mind as you answer the survey questions and raise your concerns about the KFN Constitution.

In-person Consultation meetings will be held in Burwash Landing. The Constitution Committee is willing to schedule one-on-one or small group meetings in Whitehorse as requested. Please contact Nichole Williams, governance.analyst@kfn.ca or 841-4274 x 237, to schedule a meeting.

Your feedback is important to us. Once you have submitted your responses, including your name and contact information, you will be entered into a draw to win a Samsung tablet!

Thank you for participating in our survey,
