This is the official ballot for the election of the 2019 Aquatics Section President Elect.  This position is a 3-year commitment.  The President Elect will serve one year, transition to the Aquatics Section President in 2020, and then serve as the Past President in 2021.

Please review the candidate statements below and then vote for one of the candidates or write in a candidate.  

Aquatics section members may only vote once per person.  Votes must be cast by 11:59 PM on January 31st.  The announcement of the winner of the election will follow.

Brandon Lemcke is an Aquatics Supervisor at Willamalane Parks and Recreation where he works to increase revenue, train staff, program facility operations, and liaise with other departments in order to make the WPRD aquatics department successful.

With almost two decades of aquatic work under his belt, Brandon is able to pull from years of experience with multiple organizations in order to see and understand many different ways of thinking and viewpoints. He has been a lifeguard, a swim lesson instructor, a swim coach, instructor trainer, water exercise instructor, and a department Supervisor. He holds certifications in American Red Cross as a lifeguard and water safety instructor trainer, Starfish Aquatics as a 3 star (instructor trainer) in lifeguarding and swim lessons, an Aquatic Facilities Operator certification, and a Master Scuba Diver through PADI. 

Brandon is an avid outdoorsman in his downtime where he pursues his degree and passion (Archaeology) by volunteering for digs. He is also a fervid Soccer fan (go Timbers). His love for aquatics is only overshadowed for his love for his finance’ and two cats.

Rajeana Pancake is an Aquatics Supervisor for Willamalane Park and Recreation District. Rajeana has worked in the Aquatics Industry for over a decade. In this time she has worked at the front lines of Aquatics as a Swim Instructor, Lifeguard, and Customer Service. Through the years Rajeana moved into leadership roles including Swim Lesson Program Coordinator and finally an Aquatics Supervisor. She does her best to ensure that her work will help to enrich the lives of everyone who utilizes Willamalane’s Aquatic Facilities. She holds the belief that water exercise, in any form, is a lifetime sport. When an individual takes advantage of their local Aquatic offerings they are more likely to maintain a sense of health and fitness through all stages of their life.

In 2015 as the Swim Lesson Program Coordinator for Willamalane Park and Recreation District she led the transition from the in-house Swim Lesson Program to the Starfish Swimming Lesson Program. This transition took 2 months to implement; the transition process included certifying over 40 Swim Instructors, creating marketing materials, and altering all of the teaching tools and materials used by the Swim Instructor staff. During this time she also assisted the University of Oregon in their transition to the Starfish Swimming Lesson Program.

In 2015 Rajeana joined the team of dedicated Aquatics Professionals at Willamalane Park and Recreation District as an Aquatics Supervisor. In this new role she was able to expand her work in the Swim Lesson Program, become more involved in the Lifeguard training and in-servicing, and learn new skills involving Front Desk Customer Service, and Water Fitness.

Rajeana is entering into the world of Water Fitness by learning from the Co-Founder of Hydro-Fit, Christine Crutcher. She also maintains her certifications as a Starfish Swimming Instructor, Starfish Swimming Instructor Trainer, StarGuard Lifeguard, and StarGuard Lifeguard Instructor Level 2.

Rajeana holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Oregon in Political Science.
