Prime Minister Tony Abbott has announced his new Ministry - omitting a dedicated Science Minister for this first time since 1931. A move that has raised concerns and questions among the scientific community about how science will be treated in the next three years.

The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers Australia (APESMA) is working to create a strong voice for the interests of science, and science professionals, in this new environment.
