This year we added Advantage Challenges to the Summer Reading Challenge. These Challenges allowed readers to add extra minutes to their log for trying new things, like reading a different kind of book or writing a haiku. Please tell us what you thought of the Advantage Challenges - your feedback will help us decide if we will keep them in the Reading Rewards Program or adjust them to better suit our readers and their interests. Did you try any of the Advantage Challenges? Did you use the substitution list that was included for babies, toddlers and preschoolers? Were the Challenges too easy, too hard or a good mix of difficulties? Did you enjoy taking the Challenges? Was there a Challenge you wish we had included or one you wish we hadn't put on the list? Is there anything else you would like to mention in regards to the Advantage Challenges? OK Question Title * 6. As Parker County grows, more kids and teens register for the Reading Rewards Program each year. Our current Rewards structure may have to change in the future to accommodate more participants and we are interested in your opinion on possible adjustments that can be made. How would you feel if we stopped giving out coupons for food as prizes? How would you feel if we moved some of the prizes to different levels? For example, if the pool passes were given out at 15 hours rather than 10 hours and the books were given out at 20 hours rather than 15 hours? How would you feel if we eliminated prizes altogether and only had the Summer Reading Raffle? Currently, kids and teens can start participating in the Summer Reading Raffle after they have read for 20 hours when they begin to earn raffle tickets for each 5 hour block they read, starting at 25 hours. If we did this, participants would start earning raffle tickets right away, but they wouldn't earn any other prizes. OK CLICK TO SUBMIT. THANK YOU!
