2018 Student Application - Slatt Fellowship for Undergraduate Research in Energy

The Vincent P. Slatt Endowment for Undergraduate Research in Energy Systems and Processes provides support to undergraduate students interested in conducting energy-related research at Notre Dame. Projects must be focused on creating better energy systems and devices or strengthening America’s energy future through the development of policies and infrastructure to support new technologies.

Key Dates:
- Applications accepted February 1-28.
- Notifications made by March 15.
- Funding available May 1.

Undergraduate students interested in being considered for a Slatt Fellowship must complete the following application.

If this is a collaborative research project, please identify the other researchers and their respective roles (1-2 paragraphs). 

* 8. Career Objectives:
Please provide a brief statement explaining your career objectives and how your involvement in this research project will contribute to achieving your professional goals. (1-2 paragraphs).

Please ask your faculty advisor to complete the Faculty Supporting Application, which includes a letter of recommendation and the proposed fellowship amount.

The amount of your fellowship can be up to $5,000, depending on the length of time you will be conducting your research project, any supplies you will need, and if you plan to travel to a national meeting or conference to present your research. Please discuss your anticipated needs with your advisor before he/she completes the Faculty Supporting Application.
