Join us and colleagues in the senior living industry for an informative hands-on training to bring back strategies to frontline caregivers in your independent, assisted or memory care senior living community:
- How might understanding brain changes that occur with dementia improve ability to provide the “just right” level of support for improved quality of care?
- How can one apply awareness of changes to vision, hearing, sensation and language processing to decrease falls and refusals?
- What is Positive Physical Approach ®(PPA)? And Hand Under Hand ®? How can use of these techniques reduce resistance?
- How can putting relationship first lead to more positive outcomes with interactions? How do Positive Action Starters (PAS) help reduce resistance when getting started with a care task?
- What are GEMs? How might awareness of a person’s GEM State and personal preferences support improved interactions and outcomes?
