SGP Sustainability Champion Application
Introduction
Throughout the SGP Community, there are many individuals who are instrumental in contributing to their teams’ efforts in sustainability. The SGP Sustainability Champion Award recognizes an SGP Community Member for outstanding efforts in making the environment a better place to work and live in.
An SGP Sustainability Champion is a person that leads by example and shows passion through leadership, activities, environmental stewardship and activism.
ELIGIBILITY Full or part-time employee or member of an SGP Certified Facility, Patron, Brand Leader or Resource Partner. Visit www.sgppartnership.org to confirm status.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA • An excellent role model in sustainable practices • Inspires others to work collaboratively and creatively on sustainable projects • Initiates exploration of opportunities for continuous improvement • Promotes a work or community environment by actions that cultivate sustainable practices • Actively involved in company or community sustainable programs • Leads by example in the mentorship and development of others sustainability ideas
RULES AND REGULATIONS Champions nominations can be submitted at any time and will be considered for the next award period cycle.
The SGP Champion Program Committee will select the winner at the end of the award cycle and a formal announcement made after the winners are notified. If a selected winner (or recipient) cannot be contacted for any reason, an alternative winner (recipient) will be selected.
Nominators and Nominees grant SGP Partnership Organization the use of their name for publicity and commercial purposes without further compensations. Award recipients will be featured in SGP press releases, website, newsletters, and social media platforms. Recipient’s name, company, photo and nomination form information will be published upon award selection. An authorization form and photo request will be provided prior to award selection.
SGP reserves the right to change or terminate this nomination program at any time.
