Throughout this school year, RIDE will host community forums throughout the state to highlight the importance of key themes that came from our statewide SurveyWorks results.

Thank you again to the panelists and to those who were able to join us for the first forum focused on social emotional learning. The shared leadership forum will take place on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Narragansett High School.

Come hear from a panel of school administrators, business leaders and educators on how they are supporting shared leadership in their communities - and come prepared to ask questions and join in on the conversation. At this and subsequent forums, we will feature school leaders who represent some of the best practices in tackling the challenges identified by SurveyWorks, such as shared leadership.

In our survey of educators, only 50 percent of educators reported that they believe in their schools leadership effectiveness and only 44 percent have access to learning opportunities and professional learning at their school. We will discuss this and other key shared leadership findings on November 6.

The forum is open to the public and we encourage parents, students, educators, community members to join us for a candid conversation. All of the forums are free, and Spanish language interpretation services will be available as requested.

Please register soon to reserve your spot! More information, including the list of panelists, will be posted soon.
