As you may be aware the Government's pre-election planning platform called for a review of the Victoria Planning Provisions (VPP). The MAV is keen to work with councils to introduce a mechanism that provides regular feedback to Government about the operation of the VPP/planning schemes and other components of the planning system.
While we do not believe that the framework of the VPP is broken but suggest that good systems are regularly monitored for functionality, the early identification of issues and appropriate intervention. This survey will help to:
- inform the MAV of your views about the Government's VPP agenda
- identify functionality/content concerns with the VPP
- identify future local government priorities for improvement.
A summary of the feedback will be distributed to all councils and provided to Government.
