Introduction

Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health is very proud to present Respect – Empowering Women in Sunbury as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.


This year, we are highlighting local activities and services working to progress gender equality and women's empowerment across Sunbury.  


We know that respecting, uplifting, and empowering women is a crucial step towards a world without gender-based violence.  


Come and listen to inspiring speakers share what they are doing locally to empower women to overcome gender stereotyping and inequality.

 
The morning will begin with a Welcome to Country offered by the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation and an Acknowledgement of Lived Experience of family violence.

Where: The Community Room, Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health, 12-28 Macedon Street, Sunbury
