The Sun Corridor Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) provides transportation planning services to the communities of Casa Grande, Coolidge, Eloy and rural portions of Pinal County, and covers 1,155 square miles, with an estimated population of 120,000. MPOs are required to prepare Regional Transportation Plans (RTPs). RTPs are developed in cooperation with federal and state agencies, local project stakeholders, and the traveling public. The RTP describes how various funding sources for transportation improvements will be invested in the region over the next 25 years (2025-2050).
Sun Corridor MPO is currently working on the RTP 2050 update to identify transportation system improvement priorities that support future growth in the region. The RTP addresses all modes of transportation, including automobile, bicycle, pedestrian, transit, truck, air, and rail movements.
We need your help shaping our region’s future! Your input and feedback will be used to develop the priorities for the RTP 2050 update and help guide our region’s transportation investment decisions for the future. You can learn more about Sun Corridor MPO and the RTP 2050 update by visiting the
