Introduction

With age, there are changes in physical, social-emotional, and cognitive functions which often creates new demands and requires adaptations for all individuals. Agencies and organizations are aware of the impact of aging on the increased demand for developmental disabilities services. This training module is part of the Transitions in Aging project funded by the Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council to ensure a continued quality of life for aging persons with developmental disabilities as they “age in place”. This training module was developed by Dr. Pei-Chun Hsieh, a faculty member in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at Temple University, with support from Celia Feinstein, the Co-Executive Director of the Institute on Disabilities and her staff at Temple University.

We appreciate your participation in this training. Your feedback regarding this training modules will help us to understand if the information is useful for service providers when working with people who are aging with a developmental disability.
