Webinar Registration Information for “Students at the Center: Leaders from the Urban League, Walker’s Legacy, and the Hispanic Federation Discuss Strategies for Supporting Students and Families through the COVID19 Pandemic” |
This Webinar is one of a series of virtual convenings hosted by the State University of New York (SUNY) to help college leaders to support student success. The “Students at the Center” Webinar will feature expert guest leaders from our partners at the Urban League, the Hispanic Federation, and Walker’s Legacy who will discuss strategies for supporting students and families through the COVID19 pandemic. This Webinar is designed to provide college leaders with examples of work underway to help students to carry-out their education and professional goals and recommendations and strategies for supporting their physical and mental health, empowering students financially, and assisting students in their roles as family members and caregivers. We have a special opportunity to discuss specific recommendations for serving students of color in light of data indicating that COVID19 is disproportionately affecting people of color living in the most densely populated cores of our nation’s metropolitan centers. Please feel free to email questions for the panel and any themes or topics you would like to be discussed to us in advance by email to Alma Kanic Franco at alma.kanicfranco@suny.edu.
