Dear Parents/Guardians:

The goal of the Student Learning Survey is to provide Yellowknife Education District No. 1 (YK1) with information related to student learning experiences across the school district. Your participation is an important contribution to improving educational experiences for children.

If you have multiple children in Grades 4, 7, 10, or 12, please feel free to complete a survey for each child, even if they are at the same school. The survey currently has the same questions regardless of your child’s age.

You are welcome to not answer any questions you feel do not apply to you or your child. It is important for you to know that your information is protected under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Your responses will be kept anonymous: no one will be able to personally identify you or your child(ren) through your responses (this survey is voluntary and your response is encouraged, not required). Please do not include any third-party information (for example, talk about other specific people) or any personal information about yourself. If any personal or identifying information about yourself or others is included it will be deleted before results are processed and stored.

We sincerely appreciate your input and thank you in advance for your participation.
