Thank you for agreeing to complete this survey.

Dr Sarah Russell is collecting ideas about how to make aged care homes better for both residents and staff.

Sarah's previous study Living well in an aged care home explored relatives' views of aged care homes. Sarah's other research can be viewed here.

The following survey is designed for people currently working in an Australian aged care home.

Managers, nurses, personal care attendants, kitchen, reception, activities, cleaning and maintenance staff are encouraged to share their first-hand experiences of working in an aged care home.

The more survey responses I receive from staff, the stronger the findings.

You will be asked to reflect on what you like about your work, and what you don't like. The introductory questions are open-ended, so feel free to say as much as you like about whatever you want. There are also some multi-choice questions to help with the analysis.

All information will be kept confidential. No identifying information about you or the aged care home where you work will be published.

If your first language is not English, you may answer questions using your first language.

The findings will be used to lobby for improvements in working conditions for staff in aged care homes. Improved working conditions are not only important for staff but will also ensure a better quality of life for residents.

The survey closes on 1st December 2018.
