CHI St. Luke's Health: Vacation Donation

About the Program
In keeping with our Core Values, the CHI Texas Division is committed to treating our employees with compassion—solidarity with one another, capacity to enter into another’s joy and sorrow.   Hurricane Harvey impacted Houston and surrounding communities causing devastation, including substantial flooding that stranded commuters and damaged homes, businesses, and vehicles. Our community was and continues to be greatly impacted.

As the repair and rebuilding process begins, a CHI St. Luke's Vacation Donation Program has been established to provide assistance to our employees who were personally impacted and who have exhausted their vacation banks, and are in need of additional vacation time.

Submission Process
1.       Call In:   If you do not have access to a computer, please call 1-832-355-4748 (HR4U) and a member of our Human Resources team will complete your application over the phone. 

2.       On-Line and E-Mail:  Complete and sign the form and submit a scanned copy to HR4U@stlukeshealth.org.

3.       Survey Monkey: Complete and sign the survey monkey form.

4.       The selected amount of hours you choose to donate will be removed from your current vacation bank accrual and distributed to those in need that have requested a vacation donation.

5.       Vacation will be removed from your vacation bank the pay period ending September 23, 2017 and your new vacation balance will be reflected on your paycheck September 29th, 2017.

6.       You are only able to donate accrued vacation, and cannot donate Personal or Holiday Hours.

Eligibility Requirements:

1.        Full-time and Part-time CHI St. Luke’s employees at a Workday connected facility.
2.       Donors must maintain a positive vacation balance once donated hours are removed from the employee's bank. (e.g. employee bank cannot go below 0 hours)
