Dear Parish Family,
As you’ve been hearing through this 2017 stewardship campaign, “Together, We Are St. Andrew’s.” That’s true about the photos flying across the screens in the Jewell Room, each image taking its place in the composite of our red doors. It’s true about the faces going up on the interior of the porte-cochere door – and thanks to all who’ve stopped for a quick Polaroid shot after worship! It’s true about the support for God’s work reflected in our annual financial pledges. And it’s true about the ministries of our parish, all of which depend on members like you to make them happen.
We become stronger together every time someone takes a step into greater engagement with other members of the St. Andrew’s family. That’s what the enclosed survey is all about. Part of the survey asks you to verify your demographic information – address, email, birth date, etc. – so we can stay in better touch with you. We’d also like to know how you’d prefer to receive information from the church because we want to make sure every member of the family knows what’s going on. We’d like your feedback about worship. We’d like to know how you’re currently involved in the life of St. Andrew’s and what you’d like to find out more about. Finally, we’d like to form new interest groups among our family,
so we’re asking you to let us know about activities and topics that might appeal to you.
I hope you’ll complete the whole survey; but if you want to skip some questions, we’ll be happy to receive whatever you want to provide. And rest assured that what you offer will be put to good use. I know that sometimes, in the past, we haven’t done a good enough job following up after seeking your input about activities and ministries. This time, not only will you be heard, but you’ll be contacted if you express an interest in anything.
You can complete the survey here or complete a paper version, which has been mailed to your home address and is also available in the church office. And, as if building up the church family weren’t incentive enough, here’s a little more encouragement: Everyone who completes a survey (on paper or online) will be entered in a drawing for a free meal at a neighborhood eatery!
Thanks in advance for your time in completing the survey and offering your time and talent toward God’s work here. If you have any questions, contact Mary Sanders in the church office (816-523-1602, ext. 110, or firstname.lastname@example.org). Remember, the St. Andrew’s family needs the hands and hearts of everyone. There is no “us” without you.
The Rev. John Spicer
