Springstead Village Centre | Forthcoming Planning Application

Gathering insights from future residents and neighbours for the design of the local centre

Welcome to our Springstead Village Centre survey!

We are working on the designs and details for the heart of the future Springstead Village. We are building this new community of about 1,200 households, home to 3,500 people from all walks of life and ages. It is located to the north of Cherry Hinton and the west of the village of Teversham. This survey focuses on the Springstead Village Centre. It is this fifth planning application which will be submitted by Bellway and Latimer Springstead Village Partnership in Spring 2025.

We must get this right, so we are asking for your input at this formative stage of our design work to ensure that your needs, ambitions and lived experiences are embedded into the design for Springstead Village Centre early on. Please review the questions and share your wishes and requirements with the design and project team by 18 October 2024 (extended deadline). Please note it's not a huge local centre and we need to curate the mix of shops and amenities. Help us to make a start on priority choices. Please note the schools and pre-school provisions will be delivered by the Local Authority and are therefore not the focus of this needs survey.

On the 10th of October from 5pm to 8pm, we are holding a Community Design Day where we will present, discuss and refine our design proposal to date by building physical models together with local residents and other key stakeholders. You'll find more information in the attached Newsletter. We hope you can join us!
