The sports-event landscape changed dramatically during 2020. Even while countless events were canceled or postponed, sports organizations and the people who work in the sports-event industry have inspired us all by putting their communities first. Sports-industry leaders have donated their time and money to aid first responders and those on the front lines of the pandemic. Virtual sporting events have raised money for charities. Others in the sports-event industry have deployed their creative energies to help those most in need.

This year, the SportsTravel Awards will honor the organizations, events and individuals who have gone above and beyond to help their communities, the sports-event industry and all of us during these challenging and historic times.

SportsTravel invites you to nominate people or organizations from the sports-event industry, who we will honor at the TEAMS ’20 Conference & Expo in Houston, October 19–23.

Criteria for selection include demonstrating not only resolve in the face of the current challenges but also reflecting what is best about the people and the organizations in the sports-event industry.

If you know of people or organizations who have gone the extra length to support the industry or their community in 2020, we want to hear about them. Please provide as much information as you can about why your nominee is worthy, as well as contact information for our staff to contact you to hear more.

The challenges ahead are many. But the goodwill and good hearts in the industry we know and love are even greater. Let us help you honor those deeds as we look toward a brighter future for us all.

Nominations are due by midnight August 31, 2020.
